Wild Web Design (“I”, “me”) is a one-person web design studio based in Essendon, VIC, trading formerly as Wild Web Developers. This policy explains how I handle personal information. I handle it in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles as a matter of good practice.

What I collect

I only collect what you choose to give me or what is needed to run this site:

Details you submit through the free website audit form, the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, email address, phone number, website address, business type and your message.
If you use the free website audit tool: your website address and email address (required), and your name and business type if you choose to add them. I collect them to produce your audit and to follow up about it.
Basic technical information your browser shares when you visit, such as device type and pages viewed, used to keep the site working.
If you book a call through the booking calendar, the details you enter there.

How I use it

To reply to you, prepare a website audit, quote for work or arrange a call.
To deliver and support projects if you become a client.
To keep this website secure and working properly.

I do not sell your personal information, and I only send marketing emails if you have asked to receive them.

The free website audit tool

When you use the audit tool on the free website audit page, your website address and email address (and your name and business type, if you add them) are saved in my Wix account so I can review your site and reply to you personally. By submitting the form you agree to be contacted about your audit. I won’t add you to a marketing list unless you ask, and every email gives you a way to opt out. You can ask me to delete your details at any time by emailing info@wildwebdevelopers.com.

To show your quick results, your browser sends the website address you entered directly to Google’s PageSpeed Insights service, which loads that page and returns the scores. Google handles that request under its own privacy policy. The scores are shown on your screen and are not saved by me.

Where it is stored and who sees it

This website and its forms run on Wix, and form submissions are stored in my Wix account. These providers may store or process information on servers outside Australia, under their own privacy policies and security measures. I may also use Google tools such as Search Console or Analytics to understand how the site is found and used, and I will update this page if that changes. I may share information with other providers only where needed to do the work you asked for, or where the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses only the browser storage needed to make features such as the forms and the blog work, for example an anonymous visitor token. If analytics or advertising tools are added in future, this section will say so.

Keeping it safe

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including strong passwords and two-step verification on key accounts. No online system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send passwords or sensitive details through the forms.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing info@wildwebdevelopers.com. I will respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm who you are first.

Links to other sites

This site links to client websites and other services. I’m not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Complaints

If you have a concern, contact me first and I’ll do my best to fix it. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
