Tradies and trades
Web design for tradies and trades.
When someone’s tap is leaking or a switchboard is playing up, they don’t read your website, they look for a number to call. I build trade websites that get to the point quickly, look like a business worth trusting and make it easy to ask for a quote.

What it needs
What the site needs.
- Tap-to-call button that follows the visitor
- A short quote request form
- One page per main service
- Suburbs and service areas stated clearly
- Real photos of finished jobs
- Licence, insurance and accreditation details where relevant

How people actually find a tradie
Most trade searches happen on a phone, often in a hurry. “Electrician near me”, “blocked drain Brunswick”, “roof repairs Penrith”. The person on the other end wants three things quickly: do you do this job, do you work in my area, and how do I reach you.
A good trade website answers those within the first screen. That means your trade and area in the headline, a tap-to-call button that stays in reach as they scroll, and a short quote form for people who’d rather type than talk.
03
What goes on a trade website
Each main service gets its own page, so a plumber might have separate pages for blocked drains, hot water and gas fitting. That helps Google match you to specific searches and helps customers see you do the exact job they need.
Real photos of real work do far more than stock images. Add your licence details where your state expects them, the suburbs you cover, your insurance and accreditation information if you have it, and a few lines on how a job runs from first call to finish. I help you shape all of that from rough notes.

Google Business Profile matters as much as the site
For trades that travel to customers, your Google Business Profile is often the first thing people see. I help set it up as a service-area business, choose the right categories, and make sure the suburbs, phone number and website all match. I’ve written a step-by-step guide on getting found on Google as a tradie if you want to see how this works in practice.

Built to be easy to keep current
Tradies are busy on the tools. Wix lets you add a new job photo or change your service area from your phone, and if you’d rather not touch it at all, a care plan means I handle updates. I’ll show you what’s easy to change and what’s better left to me.
06
What I need from you to get started
Mostly it’s things you already have: a few photos of finished jobs, your licence and insurance details, a list of the services you offer and the suburbs you cover. Rough notes are fine. If you can send a short note on how a typical job runs, from first call to clean-up, I can turn that into clear page copy.
I’ll handle the structure, the writing, the build and the Google setup. You’ll review a private preview on your phone before anything goes live.

Citibuild is a commercial fit-out and contracting business. I built a site that shows the quality of the work and sets out clearly what they do and who they do it for.

Questions
Good to know.
Do I need a website if I get work from word of mouth?
It helps a lot. People who hear about you from a friend will usually look you up before they call. A clear website with your service area, photos and phone number makes that second step easy.
Can you build a site for a one-person trade business?
Yes. Plenty of trade sites are a handful of well-written pages, and that’s often all you need. We can add more later as the business grows.
Will customers be able to send photos of the job?
A quote form can ask for the suburb, the type of job and a short description. If you want photo uploads we can discuss the best way to set that up on Wix.
Do you work with tradies outside Melbourne?
Yes. I’m based in Essendon and work with businesses across Australia, so interstate trades are welcome.
