Web design for Melbourne businesses.

I’m based in Essendon, so Melbourne is home turf. I design and build fast, clear Wix websites for local businesses across the inner north, the west and the CBD, and I’m easy to meet for a coffee when that helps.

01

Why a Melbourne website needs to be local

Melburnians search by suburb. Someone in Moonee Ponds looking for a physio doesn’t type “physio Melbourne”, they type “physio Moonee Ponds” or just tap “near me” on their phone. If your website and your Google Business Profile only talk about “Melbourne”, you’re leaving most of those searches to someone who spelled out the suburb.

That’s the first thing I fix on a Melbourne project. We work out which suburbs you genuinely serve, say so plainly on the right pages, and make sure your name, address area and phone number match everywhere Google looks. No stuffing a footer with fifty suburb names, just the places you actually work in.

02

Essendon, Moonee Ponds, Brunswick, Footscray, Northcote and beyond

My home base is Essendon and a lot of my regular conversations happen across the north and west: Moonee Ponds, Ascot Vale, Flemington, Brunswick, Footscray, Northcote and the CBD. These are busy local-business strips full of cafés, trades, clinics, studios and independent shops, and they all compete for the same phone searches.

I built the website for the traders of Union Road in Ascot Vale, a local hub for the shops, cafés and services on that street. That job taught me a lot about how neighbourhood businesses want to be found: by people who live ten minutes away, on their phones, usually in a hurry.

03

What Melbourne small businesses usually ask me for

The most common brief is a redesign. The business has an older website that looks tired, loads slowly on a phone and doesn’t clearly say what they do or where. We rebuild it on Wix, keep what already works, and set up redirects so the Google visibility they’ve earned isn’t thrown away.

Next is local visibility: titles, descriptions and headings written for real searches, a Google Business Profile that matches the website, and an enquiry form that people actually finish. Then comes ongoing care, because most owners would rather be on the tools or behind the counter than logging into a website at night.

04

Meeting in person or working online

For Melbourne clients, both options are open. Plenty of people like a first chat over a coffee in Essendon, Moonee Ponds or the CBD. Others would rather do everything over the phone and a shared preview link. Either way, you deal with me directly, from the first call to launch and after.

Most projects take two to four weeks depending on pages and how ready your photos and words are. You’ll get a clear scope and a fixed quote before any work starts.

05

Keeping a Melbourne site current through the year

Melbourne trading hours move around more than most places. Cup Day, grand final week, school holidays, long weekends and the summer and winter swings all change when people go out and when you’re open. Customers check hours online before they leave the house, and a wrong time costs you a walk-in.

I set sites up so hours, notices and seasonal offers sit in one easy spot you can change from your phone. If you’d rather not do it yourself, a care plan covers it. Either way, the Google Business Profile gets the same update so the two never disagree.

Questions

Melbourne questions.

Can we meet in person in Melbourne?

Yes. I’m based in Essendon and happy to meet around the inner north, the west or the CBD for a first chat. Plenty of Melbourne clients prefer a phone call and a shared preview link instead, and that works just as well.

Do you build websites for Melbourne tradies and cafés?

Yes. Trades, hospitality, clinics, professional services and retail are all regular briefs. Each has different needs, so I write and structure the site around how your customers actually search and decide.

Will my new website keep my Google rankings?

A careful rebuild protects what you have. I map your old pages to the new ones, set up redirects and check the site after launch. I can’t promise rankings, but I won’t throw away the visibility you’ve already earned.

How long does a Melbourne website project take?

Most take two to four weeks, depending on the number of pages and how ready your photos and content are. You’ll have a clear timeline before we start.

Do you help with Google Business Profile?

Yes. I can set it up or tidy it so your categories, service area, hours and website all match, which helps with the map results Melbourne customers see first.

Ready to get found in Melbourne?
