Clinics and allied health

Web design for clinics and allied health.

People looking for a clinic are often anxious, in pain or short on time. I build calm, clear websites for physios, dentists, psychologists and other health practices that explain what you offer, introduce your practitioners and make booking straightforward.

What it needs

What the site needs.

  • Clear service pages for each treatment
  • Short practitioner profiles
  • A booking button that works on a phone
  • Location, hours, parking and access details
  • A calm, readable design
  • Wording checked against your board’s advertising rules

02

Reassurance first, then information

A first-time patient is deciding whether they trust you. The site should answer the obvious questions fast: what do you treat, who will I see, where are you, how do I book and what happens at the first appointment. Warm, plain language beats clinical jargon, and a clean layout keeps things calm.

I structure each clinic site so those questions are answered in a logical order, with service pages for the main conditions or treatments and a short, human profile for each practitioner.

03

Booking that works on a phone

Most clinic enquiries come from mobile. If you already use a practice management or booking system, I link your site to it with a clear “Book now” button that opens straight to the right place. If you don’t, Wix has booking tools that can be set up for appointments, and we can talk through what suits the way you run your day.

Opening hours, location, parking and public transport details sit near the top, because those are the practical things people check before they commit.

04

Advertising rules and privacy

Health practitioners in Australia advertise under national rules, administered through AHPRA and your registration board, and those rules restrict things like testimonials and claims about outcomes. I don’t write clinical claims for you and I won’t put testimonials on a regulated health page. I build the structure and help with plain-language wording, and you check the final text against your board’s advertising guidelines.

I also keep forms simple. A general enquiry form should not ask for clinical details, so we keep sensitive information for your booking system or a phone call.

05

Local search for clinics

Your Google Business Profile does a lot of the work for a clinic: categories, hours, photos, the booking link and services listed accurately. I help make sure your profile and website match, then build service pages that reflect what patients really search for in your area.

06

What goes on a practitioner profile

A good profile is short and human. Name, role, registration details where they’re required, the areas they focus on and a line about how they like to work. A friendly photo helps a nervous first-timer feel they know who they’ll meet.

I help you write these in plain language, keep them consistent across the team and make sure they’re easy to update when practitioners join or leave.

Questions

Good to know.

Can you put patient testimonials on my clinic website?

For regulated health services, advertising rules restrict testimonials, so I don’t add them to clinical pages. Check your registration board’s guidelines for what you can publish.

Can the website connect to my booking software?

In most cases yes. I can link your site to your existing booking system with a clear button, or set up Wix bookings if you’d rather keep it all in one place.

Can you redesign an older clinic website?

Yes. I keep the content that works, rewrite what needs it and set up redirects so you don’t lose existing Google visibility.

Do you work with clinics outside Melbourne?

Yes. I’m based in Essendon and work with clinics and practices across Australia, all online and by phone.
